Janson Pottery

There's a sweet charm that goes along with the handmade nature of pottery, something that mass produced mugs and saucers can never replicate. I'm not sure if it's the imperfect, unique nature or just the way the curves actually look like they were shaped by hand, but those tiny touches are a nice way to make your morning coffee a little more special.

Based out of rural Ontario, Janet uses both a potter's wheel and slab roller in her working process. This talented lady also creates all of her own glazes, enjoying the opportunity to experiment with different materials. Various glaze applications are used alone or layered over a base glaze for wondrous results.
